I have incredibly itchy legs (mild form of exesma) as well as living in a very dry state.
I try not to scratch them a lot but over time i have bumps/scars on my legs.
I want to know how I can make them stop itching and get rid of the markings so I have nearly mark-free legs|||First, don%26#039;t use any lotions or creams that contain alcohol, because that will dry your skin and make it worse. Second, put lotion on as soon as you%26#039;re done bathing or showering, to help seal in moisture. Aveeno Eczema cream is good. Aquaphor ointment is good for covering sore spots so they won%26#039;t itch. Boudreaux Butt Paste can also be used on eczema. It seems to help a lot, if you can get past the idea of using a diaper rash ointment when you%26#039;re not a baby.
Mederma is an ointment that is supposed to help fade scars. I have a big surgery scar on my leg that I%26#039;ve been putting Mederma on for a month with no real change, but it does say on the package that it will take longer than that.
You could use a sunless tanning lotion on your legs to help make your scars less noticeable.
Eczema is a real medical problem...if you haven%26#039;t seen a doctor for it yet, you should. There are prescription creams for it that help more than anything you can buy over the counter.|||I don%26#039;t know about getting rid of marks but I know how to tame the itch. When taking a shower, adjust the water to as hot a temperature as you can stand and spray the affected area. At first while you are doing it, it will seem to itch even more but after about 10 seconds the itch will stop and not bother you for up to 24 hours. After the shower, pat dry yourself off and apply some lotion on your legs, I use Lubriderm, to keep skin from drying out.|||try using a cream by Aveeno thats especially marked for people with exzema
