How can I convince a skin specialist that a mole I have in the face should be removed?

Let me start by saying that I live in Portugal so the health system may be different of the USA%26#039;s.

I don%26#039;t want to pay rivers of money to remove a mole so, if my skin specialist agrees that the mole have to be removed, I can remove it in the hospital for free.

How can I do it?|||If the mole is asymmetric in shape, or raised or odd-colored, it raises a concern for skin cancer, and usually a dermatologist uses a mole-removing tool to shave off a mole and send it off to a lab for testing.

If your mole appears to be normal, then at least in US it%26#039;s a cosmetic procedure based on non-medical reason and you would incur a small fee. I know someone who had moles removed from her face and one from her shoulder (the one on shoulder appeared to be abnormal, so this one was sent off to a lab). The fee was less than $100 or something after insurance.

Anyone know any good ways to get rid of pimples under the skin?

i have them all over my cheeks, they aren%26#039;t red but look like little bumps, any good ways to get rid of them?|||Neutrogena 2 step acne system may help but if I were you, I would ask a skin doctor to get the most appropriate treatment.

All the best!

How do I make the skin on my knees lighter?

My knees are very dark and dry, any idea on how to make them lighter and softer?|||To make them lighter, try lemon juice|||Just use moisturiser to make them soft, and look at the foods you eat (they play a big part in the halth of your skin)

And you won%26#039;t make them lighter, many people have darker knees- i know i do. unless you wanna be silly and put sunscreen on your knees only then go out in the sun for an hour LOL [ might work, hey?]

How do i lighten my skin up on my elbows and knees?

Can anyone show me home remedies that%26#039;ll make my knees the same color as my skin instea of being 6 shades darker?|||my cousin and i do this lol, get like either limes, lemons, or something called %26quot;calamansi%26quot;, and rub it on your knees/elbows frequently. gud luck!|||There are lotions, like lotions for your face, that have some sort of bleaching creams/chemicals in them. I tan in a tanning bed from time to time and I asked the tanning salon owner why the skin under my eyes wasn%26#039;t tanning. She asked if I use night cream or face lotions and I said yes. She then told me that most face lotions/night creams have the bleaching chemicals in them to lighten skin. If you want to try that on your elbows and knees, I suggest using an OIL OF OLAY brand product. That%26#039;s what I was using... wouldn%26#039;t hurt to try that or any bleaching cream for skin.|||exfoliate and moisturize|||Rub a slice of lemon to it everyday.

How can I moisturize my skin without cream?

I%26#039;m a swimmer, and the chlorine is really drying out my skin.

I feel itchy all over after meets %26amp; practices, but applying a moisturizer all over my body every day is kind of annoying.

Other ideas?|||get a spray bottle and fill it with baby oil. After swimming, shower and while youre in the shower right before you get out, spritz yourself with the baby oil. You can step back under the water if you%26#039;d like for a sec, to rinse the excess off, but not all of it!|||eat cantaloupe or honeydew. those two melons have high rates of amypoticin, which is a natural chemical in food that helps the skin retain moisture. though it will be most obvious in your facial area (more moisturized skin) it will help a little all around your body.|||Use Olay Ribbons Body Wash, it has lotion formulated into it so you don%26#039;t have to apply lotion after your shower/bath. Also buy (at walmart) a box of two dollar bath salts, they add moisturizer to the water too.|||Dont be lazy, and apply it.

Or else when your 30 you will look like a dried up prune.

Literally, since your in the chlorine water everyday.

So just moisturize, it only takes a few minutes.|||i don%26#039;t think there is a way to moisturize your skin without a moisturizer. but if you do use a moisturizer, i suggest eucerin. i use it on my face and it works greattt.|||There is no way around it, moisturizer is the only way to go.

Just put it on after your shower, it becomes part of your routine after a while. :)|||eat fruits n veggies and drink lots of water. u r what u eat b4 going to bed make sure u use cream.

How can I stop my skin from getting so oily and shiny?

I can just wash it and have it be all nice and oil free and within like 20 minutes it gets all oily again. I%26#039;d look so much better if it didn%26#039;t do that.|||I have insanely oily skin as well – gets shiny about 1 hour after I wash my face. I’ve tried SO many products to combat the oil, and nothing has worked until I found a translucent powder on Ebay called “Mattify”. It soaks up the oil and keeps your skin looking fresh for hours. You can wear it alone or with foundation, but you definitely want to make sure you exfoliate your face first (because it clings to dry patches on your face). I use body gloves, which can be found at any Walmart or Drug-store, with the 24/7 Acne Free Foam Cleanser…that does a great job of removing any dry skin. If you use moisturizer, apply it and let it dry for about 1 minute before you dust with the Mattify powder. One application of Mattify in the morning keeps me oil-free for about 4 hours…which is a very long time for me. I re-apply it at lunch and am good to go for another 4 hours. Normally I was having to use those blotting papers every single hour so my face wouldn’t look like an oil-slick! Hope this helps you out!|||Ok..

When you%26#039;r skin gets like that you can use translucent powder.

It sucks any oil from your face and when you put it on, it doesnt keep your face all white looking. It blends in with your skin tone. You can find these in like pharmacys.|||If you wear makeup, you can use powder. That will prevent your face from getting oily. If you don%26#039;t wear makeup, I would try getting a facial wash and moisturizer that promotes keeping the oily on your face to a minimum. Try Nuetrogena Rapid Clear. It is meant for acne but works great at keeping the oil on your face at bay. You can also carry facial blots. That will help to remove the oil from your face.|||Make sure you have the right products.

You should cleanse tone and Moisturize your face twice a day - Once in the morning and In the evening before Bedtime.

Stick to the same products you use. Don%26#039;t randomly one day Pick whatever is in front of you - This will let you down.

Drink plenty of water.

Eat fruit and veg with Lots of Vitamin C and Fibre.

Set yourself a balanced meal time.

Cut down on the chips and Chocolate - These make your Skin Oily.

Excercise daily - Join the gym.

I hope I helped.|||you can use blotting sheets. or you can go to any make up counter and ask what type of cleanser or make up to use thats best with oily skin.|||okay so this is what i heard somewhere. you have to wash your face with this flour called basin you can find it at any indian grocery store. then you mix the basin with water and wash your face with that. you put it on your face, wait 5 minutes then wash it off. do this in the morning and at night.|||cut tomato into 2 slices, and then start rubbing them gently onto ur skin...do it 4 about 5mins..then wash it off...this will not only remove the oil on ur face but will also give a bright glow to ur face...

How do people with fair skin have the confidence to wear shorts and skirts?

I have very fair skin and i absolutely hate wearing anything in public (sometimes even my house) that shows off my legs. I hate it. It feels like people look at me for it and judge me for it.I have tried to at school and people would just comment on how %26quot;white your legs are!%26quot; and im like we duh i don%26#039;t tan but it still hurt. especially when i see all the beautifully tanned people out there. you know what i mean?|||i really dont know what you mean...i have the sexiest legs men have told me. if yours are albino and such...get a tan or go tanning...or do guys all a favor and wear only pants.|||People with fair skin who were shorts and skirts are the type of people that don%26#039;t care what others think and are confident with how they look. People who tan are just self conscience and can%26#039;t except themselves as they are. That%26#039;s what I think of tan people. So wear your skirts and short shorts! Don%26#039;t let those fake bakers get to you! Be happy you don%26#039;t have to worry about getting skin cancer later on in life!|||im really pale too, i only tan alittle and im still pale as heck, and i dont wear shorts and stuff for other reasons other than my paleness i just dont like them, but thats just me, tan skin is very unorigional, we should be proud to be different. It may be weird now, but eventually we will learn to love it, just take care of it and , well, i dont mean to sound harsh, but we are stuck with it so we might as well love it right?|||I can%26#039;t physically tan. My skin just wont do it. I just figure it as the same as wearing a shirt with short sleeves. It%26#039;s no big deal. Who cares what others say. Everyone is different and just because my skin doesn%26#039;t match theirs doesn%26#039;t mean that mine is any less entitled to be seen in shorts.|||I%26#039;m pasty white and you can see my veins but I%26#039;d much rather look like a ghost than get melanoma and have my skin age quicker than I do. Next time you see all those %26quot;beautifully tan%26quot; people, think about the damage they%26#039;re doing to their skin. |||Because they know that while they may be pale, they aren%26#039;t going to get skin cancer and look like their skin is made of leather in 10 years. Pale skin was once considered beautiful and tan was bad because that meant you had to work and you weren%26#039;t rich. |||i tan easily and im really tan and ive been jealous of pale people because their skin is so fair and beautiful and i feel like im like every other tan person. be proud of your fair skin. if you really want buy some rub on tanner , it works fast|||I don%26#039;t find a fair complexion undesirable at all,as a matter of fact I find it quite attractive.Your a nordic princess, revel in it,its nothing to be ashamed of.|||I love being pale :) Honestly, not being tan never crosses my mind while wearing skirts. What%26#039;s wrong with being who you are eh?

How can I get my skin nearly flawless?

I want my skin to be nearly flawless. I have light skin and blue eyes but I burn easily, so I have a few freckles. I don%26#039;t have acne problems and rarely get any skin problems like that. Any face washes or anything that I can use to maybe take away some freckles or make my skin nearly flawless?|||The only thing to get rid to freckles hunny, is coverup. I don%26#039;t even know if that will work.

Your skin is most likely beautiful. Blue eyes and freckles? That%26#039;s kind-of odd, I%26#039;dd be loving it if I were you.

Does anybody know how to mix acrylic paints to get the brown skin tones of a person from india?

I am an art student trying to paint a portrait of a woman from india in acrylics and I am having a VERY hard time matching her beautiful brown skin tones. Can anyone give me some tips?|||Every race of people has a myriad of different colors of skin tone. The cardinal rule in color is: %26quot;You can always go darker%26quot;. Lightening up a color is not a problem you want to deal with because your colors will get muddy.

I would start with a pale portrait pink, mix in a minute amount of ochre yellow, a small amount of dark portrait pink, an even smaller amount of a quinacridone violet.

Really blend this well, and then with great restraint try an irridescent gold and begin to slowly darken with bits of taupe. You can always go darker gradually with tiny bits of raw umber. You want the flesh to have some luster to it....so think of how she looks when she smiles...it will brighten up the project.

Afterthought: The skin has many colors in it....depending on her particular tones, if you are working in a thicker more heavy bodied acrylic, you may want to show more flouchetage or brushtroke (therefore, possibly add lots of specks of many different colors to her skin). These portraits resemble more an oil painting kind of presentation. If you view any of the great masters%26#039; portraits, and you go very close up ...you will see more colors than would ever occur to you to use. If you step back to see the overview (which is how we are intended to view these paintings), these colors add to the building or definitions of the different planes in the face.If you are working in a more fluid acrylic or even a hard- edge type of heavy body acrylic approach, you may wish to blend, blend , blend....this is where your choices have to be a little more exacting...experiment on your palate until you are satisfied. But, you can also use many colors when creating with a more fluid approach....especially if you add layers glazing. You will probably notice a much broader variety of color than you realized at first. Good Luck!|||JUST START MIXING UP SOME DIFFERENT PAINTS AND EVENTUALLY YOU WIL COME UP WITH THE PAINT YOU NEED|||Rather than focus on mixing a perfect brown, try to capture the color you see in the light and shadowed areas of her face. Try mixing purplish tones for the darker areas and blend in some yellow for the lighter areas. A little bit of red mixed with yellow and blue will probably also help to bring out the coppery tone of Indian skin.|||Burned umber and burned sienna with some yellow ochre in lighter areas, also use some cadium res midium for the reds and also some blackand paynes grey for the hair.

I hope it helps good luck

Check out my web site http://www.piotrwolodkowicz.com|||Start off by using a brown paint, then add a little red or orange in with the brown to get a better skin tone color. If you need to go lighter or darker add a little white or black.

What is the area of skin called between a mans anus and his scrotum?

Ok well i know that the street word is %26quot;COOCH%26quot; and i know that me and my friends call it a merrium, but what is the real word for it???? AND if you know the real word, is it possible for a female to have one even though they do not have a scrotum?|||Perineum.

How to care for reindeer skin?

Hi,

We recently got reindeer skin as a gift. We stay in a place which is very dry and hot. Most of the time it%26#039;s very dusty. Can anyone tell me how to prevent reindeer skin from getting damaged due to heat and dust? I do not want to cover it with a plastic sheet.

I also would like suggestions about how to mount it on a wall with minimum damage to the skin.

Thank you|||Never, never put furs in plastic only cotton bags. You can gently vacuum the skin to get out the dust or just take outside and shake like a normal rug. If your house is very hot in the summer I recommend you store the skin in a cool place wrapped in a cotton sheet with a few moth balls, the cedar smelling ones are the best. To mount on the wall you can use small nails carefully situated to hold it in place and try and use the same holes when remounting. For other suggestions I recommend you call a Fur Manufacturer or a Fur skin dealer..|||Send an email to Santa

How do you get rid of a bleach stain on a sheep skin rug?

Some bleach got onto my sheep skin rug, and now there%26#039;s an orange stain, is there a way to get it out?|||Bleach is an agent that removes dyes, so what you have isn%26#039;t a stain, but actually the beginning of the removing of whatever natural dyes are in the sheep%26#039;s wool. What you should do is have the entire rug washed to remove any bleach residue, then have the rug redyed in the bleached area so it matches the rest of the rug. Getting out all of the bleach is very important, as bleach can damage wool. If it is in the budget, have this work done by a pro as sheep skin rugs are tricky. Sometimes they are chemically treated before sold, and this can affect the outcome of any cleaning and dying that you do.|||I don%26#039;t know that you can fix this! Bleach changes the color by a chemical reaction, and I%26#039;m not so sure you can reverse it.

I%26#039;m thinking you might try to dye it to match the surrounding area.|||Nope. The bleach has destroyed the wool fiber. It%26#039;s toast now.|||Scissors will take care of it. :-)

How to get rid of the redness in a pimple with sensitive skin?

I have two pimples on my right cheek, do you know how to get rid of the redness in the pimple or better, get rid of them in a couple days? I use Aveeno Clear Complexion Cream Cleanser, I have tried a lot of Neutrogena treatments, even baking soda! But don%26#039;t worry, not all at once. Please help!|||try putting ice onto your pimples. it mite reduce the redness of it and even make the pimple be gone. also you should try to steam your face. or you can put toothpaste on your pimple to dry it out.|||Neutrogena just came out with a new product that was made for helping redness on pimples. It uses aloe vera and chamomille. I know from personal experience that aloe vera gets rid of a lot of red spots. So this new product i think should work.

if you cant get that, just plain aloe vera could work too.

I have a really dark skin on the back of my neck. How can I make this go away?

For some reason, the back of my neck is allot darker than my skin. Is there a cheap producted that I can purchace at my local CVS, Jewel, etc that can make the skin on my neck the same color as my skin? you can buy it at a walgreens and its around $5

it helps sometimes but you should control your eating habits and do more excercise and it should go away within 2 months.|||Might be genetic or it might be some type of skin rash or issue. Just to be on the safe side I would schedule and appointment with your doctor or, ideally, a dermatologist... just to see if it%26#039;s normal and if anything should or can be done about it. I know it%26#039;s not the cheapest solution to your problem... but a dermatologist will be able to give you an educated answer after examining your neck.

Best wishes.|||Srub the back of your neck to see if it can come off.Or you can get some whitening cream to put on your neck.

Why do Westerners get wrinkly skin at a young age?

Why is it that Americans and Europeans seem to get wrinkly skin by their early to mid 20s?

I see a lot of Asian people in their 30s who still have wrinkle-free skin.|||And then when they hit 40 they prune up. seriously. It has to do with sun exposure, smoking and genetics. there are many westerners that don%26#039;t get wrinkles into their sixties, while many asians are really wrinkled bad by then.|||Rapid aging, wrinkled skin, skin becoming wrinkly in a short time?

The reason may be wrinkly skin virus:

http://wrinklyskinvirus.wordpress.com/ Report Abuse
|||it%26#039;s because if nobody in the world wore sunscreen

then dark skinned people would have the nicest skin because it is the least damaged by the sun.

light skinned people also have damaged skin early in life because they originally came from Europe, which is more north, so the sun isn%26#039;t as intense, so they didn%26#039;t need to have daker skin, but when they moved they needed to, but don%26#039;t. that%26#039;s why everyone should wear sunscreen to protect their skin so they look good and don%26#039;t get skin cancer.|||its cuz americans age faster because most of them think they can tan and sit in the sun all they want and nothing happen...wrong|||Well I%26#039;m not sure that%26#039;s true. I%26#039;m American and I don%26#039;t know anyone in their 20%26#039;s with wrinkles. I%26#039;d say most fair skinned people start to get wrinkles in their 30%26#039;s. It depends on your skin type, your genetics, how much time you spend in the sun, if you smoke, drink, etc.

How can I tighten my skin without the use of surgery?

I know there are plenty of people who have lost weight and lifted their breast with the use of weight lifting. I am in the process of losing weight. My chest has gotten smaller but i feel like the skin is getting looser but they feel smaller. Any suggestions?|||It takes time to get there but most people I%26#039;ve seen with %26quot;tight%26quot; skin were physically fit. The only exceptions were the very old and the sun-weathered.

Note I mean it when I say %26quot;physically fit%26quot;. These are not bodybuilders, dieters, or other extremists. The most %26quot;fit%26quot; people I%26#039;ve met are extremely well-balanced -- musicians, runners, dancers, yoga enthusiasts, martial artists. They practice a blend of endurance, speed, flexibility and strength. They%26#039;re also very healthy.

Rather than lifting weights, I recommend you take up an athletic indoor activity like dancing or martial arts. It%26#039;s more fun than grinding away in a weight room, more balanced over the whole body and you%26#039;ll definitely fit your skin better in the long run.|||do weights. Start with 1kg dumbells and work your way up each week. :)

What are some signs of skin cancer and how do you know what a mole is?

Yesterday I went to an amusement park and even though I was wearing a t-shirt, the little freckle thing (I don%26#039;t know if it is a moe because it is small yet it is bumpy like braile) on my shoulder seems to be bigger and it is more darker. The skin around my freckel is peeling, and I don%26#039;t know how I could of been burnt since it doesn%26#039;t hurt or anything. Please help!!!!

I%26#039;ll add any questions you type in as details... PLEASE!|||Remember the basic A,B,C%26#039;s of skin cancer:

A: Asymmetry. One half of the mole doesn%26#039;t match the other half.

B: Border irregularity. The edges are ragged, notched, or blurred.

C: Color. The pigmentation is not uniform. Shades of tan, brown, and black are present. Dashes of red, white, and blue add to the mottled appearance. Changes in color distribution, especially the spread of color from the edge of a mole into the surrounding skin, also are an early sign of melanoma.

D: Diameter. The mole or skin growth is larger than 6 mm, or about the size of a pencil eraser. Any growth of a mole should be of concern.

I%26#039;ve had skin cancer removed from my nose that was about the size of a pencil eraser. Not a big deal at all. You should see a doctor who can tell you whether you should be concerned or not.|||As another person wrote - the ABCDs.

Also, any CHANGE to an existing mole and/or freckle is cause to watch closely. With the peeling, darkness and size change I%26#039;d definitely get it checked out.

If it really is suspect, they%26#039;ll most likely plan to do a biopsy which will actually cut the mole/freckle out.

Two of the types of biopsies are hole punch and excision.

Hole punch is when they cut in and pull out a %26quot;plug%26quot; like what%26#039;s leff after a paper-hold bunch does its thing. Just deeper.

I had it done to one on my thigh some years ago, and although yeah it smarted a bit, ti wasn%26#039;t bad (local anesthesia). Turned out negative, thank goodness.

Do get it checked by your primary care doc or a dermatologist soon, though, just in case. Time is your best ally, but can also be your worst enemy if you let it slip by.

How to deal with dead skin after a pimple?

There are a million tips for dealing with pimples. But once you dry them up, there%26#039;s an ugly patch of dead skin left. What do you do about it?

Makeup looks horrible on it and it will scab even longer if you pick it off. What do you think? Facial scrubs? What?|||Yes, I have the same problem. What I try to do is only put on the drying medication the first day or two, and I use only a small amt. Then, although it is tempting to keep piling the spot treatment on, i don%26#039;t and instead just wash my face with my regular face wash. This usually prevents the drying from happening too bad. If you still get the flaking then you can use a damp wash cloth and gently try to rub away the skin and then put on some facial moisturizer.|||Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize

Soak almonds in water overnight. Peel them off in the morning. Make a paste and add honey to it. Apply it on face and scrub it off when dries to make skin whiter and glowing.

Potatoes have bleaching agents in them their juice is quite helpful in giving an even skin tone. Reduce pigmentation and blemishes. It can be applied on the skin everyday to get it whiter.|||If you want your skin to be lighter, I%26#039;d suggest using an exfoliating scrub in the shower. It takes off the dead skin, leaving a fresher (and lighter) layer of skin.|||im sure you look fine but if you take a bath in lemons

What happens to all the skin when you go from fat to skinny? And if you had a tatoo what would happen to it?

Cause skinny people dont have stretch marks and wrinkles and stuff... And if it was tightened it would have to go somewhere right?|||I think it would be fine as long as you were not seriously overweight.

And you are wrong about skinny people not having stretch marks, I know a girl who probably weighs (and always has) about 90 pounds and she has them.|||Your skin is elastic. When you lose weight, the right way of course unless you were hundreds and hundreds of pounds over weight, your skin will shrink with your body and tighten up to define all your muscles and such.

If you had a tattoo im sure it would look better than before. but im not sure. I guess il find out cuz i have 6 tattoos going down the side of my ribs

What are your options for getting a tattoo if you have sensitive skin alergies? different inks maybe?

i%26#039;ve got very sensitive skin but i%26#039;d like to get a tattoo... are there alternative inks or ways to find out if it will have a severe effect on my skin?|||I also have sensitive skin and I am allergic to white ink so when I went back for a touch up, my artist used an organic white ink instead. I still had a reaction to the organic ink but it wasn%26#039;t as bad as the first time so he told me that I had to stay away from white ink but this past weekend I got tattoo #7 and it was w/ a different artist so what he did was break down the white w/ another color and to my surprise and relief I had no reaction. I%26#039;m not sure if it was because he broke the color down or maybe because it was a different brand of inks he used. So basically I would just recommend talking to an artist in person and tell them about your sensitive skin and they%26#039;ll tell you what your options are and what colors tend to make people react the most such as red ink.|||The tattoo basically violates your skin which is the body鈥檚 main protective barrier from the elements of nature; it becomes very possible to get skin infections and other skin reactions as well. The inks that are used on tattoos are classified as cosmetics and since the pigments are not meant for injections under the skin the long term effects are yet to be known properly. Tattoo dyes and the red dyes in particular are known to cause allergic reactions that result in an itchy rash at the tattoo site which may even occur years after the tattoo.|||I have super sensitive skin and I got a tattoo just fine, with no problems. They didn%26#039;t use %26quot;organic ink%26quot; on me or anything like that. I didn%26#039;t even react to red, which is a common allergy.

An idea: you can always pay to have them do test dots somewhere on you, like where you plan on getting the tattoo at. Test the dots of colors you plan on using. This would be a simple and effective way to see if you are allergic...|||They make what is known as %26#039;organic%26#039; inks, just for people like you. I%26#039;ve heard about them, haven%26#039;t used any yet. They lack some of the brilliance and intensity of regular inks. But you won%26#039;t be as prone to irritation. So says the %26#039;shop talk%26#039; opinion, at any rate.|||I have some more questions about your skin type before an answer can be formed%26gt; SENSITIVE SKIN: What does that mean to you is your skin easily prone to irritation like stinging, chafing and even itching? Are you able to use any kind of cosmetic makeup? Do you have to be very careful in choosing the products like lotions and soaps for your skin? Do you use any medicated products for your skin or take prescriptions for it? Does It have to be taken special care of in any Special way. After washing does the your skin feel dry and itchy in places. Is there any presence of flaky patches as well as redness seen. It your skin prone to break out into spots? Do you have any major food allergies like shell fish or fruit, spices? Can you were any type of metal jewelry?

Before I would make any recommendations these would be my questions.

Therefore as recommend a patch test is recommended always before using any kind of color in your tattoo. On the inside of the upper bicep is a location I have used for test to conceal the results also a very sensitive area.

There are tattoo inks do not have any oxide metals or sulfide in them,

Red has been the problem in the pasta but some white ink is made from Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxide for the most part.

Though I have never had any one have a reaction from white, only red years ago.Fewer reactions have been reported with naphthol red than the other pigments reds.

Ink has come a long way, some states like California require full disclosure of the inks ingredients now so you can learn more about these risks, care of a new tattoo, and get other information, check out some of the sites listed on the page of this article. Also, check out the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for any pigment or carrier. http://chemistry.about.com/library/weekly/aa121602a.htm

A lot of individuals have some form of sensitive skin the question is in what way is it sensitive. What a tattoo is is a ink injected below the dermis, while some individuals have sensitivity to agents on top of the skin they tolerate tattoos very well but do require Special after care solutions.

%26quot;Tattoo-associated skin reactions%26quot;

Decorative tattooing has been practised for thousands of years. In primitive times it was used for embellishment, whilst in some customs and cultures tattooing represented a sign of distinction or social rank. This remains the case today with some cultures; however, it has also become popular with everyday people of western countries in the last 10-20 years.

With the rise in number of people with tattoos in today%26#039;s society, an increase in the number of tattoo-associated skin disorders can be expected. Reactions that may occur include acute inflammatory reactions, eczematous hypersensitivity reactions, photo-aggravated reactions, granulomatous reactions, lichenoid reactions and pseudolymphomatous reactions.

Is it normal for your skin to burn after taking off facial hair removal cream?

I use Nair Facial Hair Removal Cream once in a while on my upper lip. When I take it off after about 7-8 minutes, it burns. Is that normal or am I having an allergic reaction to it? It tends to still burn %26#039;till the next day. If you have any tips to stop the burning, please do tell. :)

THANKS!|||the burning happens to me when i used nair on my legs, but it was because i left it on for too long.

it also might be because your skin is really sensitive.

If you insist on using Nair (verses Tweezers or laser hair removal) Try shortening your time. You say you wait 7-8 minutes? Try 4 minutes, then check.

Is it possible to get skin cancer at a fairly young age?

I%26#039;m 17, and I have this weird like small shiny spot on my foot. Its been there for at least like a year and a half, but it hasn%26#039;t really grown or anything. I have been working as a lifeguard for about three years and I walk around with nothing on my feet for 7+ hours a day sometimes, so my feet do get a lot of sun.|||definitely don%26#039;t worry too much, but if you%26#039;re truly worried about it, you should seek medical health. only a doctor can diagnose you correctly. but young people like you and me can both get skin cancer at a young age- melanoma, basal cell cancer, etc... so ALWAYS use sunscreen.|||It is possible, but not likely that you could get skin cancer at a young age. Look for the shape of the scar. If it%26#039;s round shape, brownish in color and doesn%26#039;t have jagged edges, it%26#039;s probably a normal scar. It%26#039;s when it gets dark in color, is more of an oblong shape, and has rough edges that you have to worry. Just make an appointment to see your family physician, they can tell you right away if it%26#039;s cause for concern. In the meantime, use some sunscreen on your feet!|||Yes, but this happens very rarely, mostly affected are people over age of 50, and skin cancer usually has a 20- to 30-year latency period.

I also heard if u go on diet u look darker is it true?|||You can try these home remedies to remove tan %26amp; lighten skin:

Mix 1 table spoon of milk powder, 1 table spoon of honey, 1 table spoon of lemon juice, and 陆 table spoon of almond oil. Apply on face and wash off after 10-15 minutes. This pack helps bring shine to the skin and also removes tan.

Mix oatmeal with curd and tomato juice and apply on the face. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. It helps remove the tan and lightens the skin.

Place sliced raw potato on the face. It helps reduce blemishes and other marks.

Applying turmeric powder along with lime juice removes the tan. Lime juice is natural bleach.

Dried orange peels mixed with curd also help reduce blemishes and scars. Wash off this mixture with cold water after 15 minutes.

Soak 4 almonds overnight. Grind into a fine paste using milk. Apply on face and neck and leave it overnight. Wash with cold water in the morning. Do this daily for 15 days, followed by twice a week.

A table spoon of gram flour mixed with 2 table spoon of raw milk and 2-3 drops of lime juice works well for lightening dark skin. Apply this mixture and leave it for 15 minutes before washing off. Repeat for 4 weeks and follow up with once a week.

Apply a paste of fresh ground mint leaves and leave it for about 20 minutes. Wash with cold water, continue for 15 days.

Apply a mixture of grated tomato with 2-3 drops of lime juice on the face. Leave it for 20 minutes before washing off. Do this twice a day for 15-20 days for best results.|||i don%26#039;t think it is your diet. if you spend alot of time in the sun you will get dark like going to the beach, on your front porch or just being in the sunlight. that what happen to me. but if don%26#039;t go outside alot, then maybe it is what you eat. It may have been a simple irritant that left untreated has now gotten gross and infected. Take him to the vet to have it figured out and get the proper medications.

Bulldogs are very prone to skin issues, anything can set them off-- from not being washed throughly during a bath, to their collars irritating them, to the wrinkles not being kept clean and dry and developing a yeast infection on the skin, or even just allergies. If it%26#039;s looking %26quot;Cheesy%26quot; it%26#039;s not just a simple irritant and needs to be seen and cleared up by your dogs vet before it becomes worse or spreads to beyond his neck area.|||First of all, take him to the vet. Anything %26quot;cheese%26quot;-like coming out the skin of a dog is not normal. He might have allergies, worms, skin inffection...tons of possibilites. Or it could be as simple as his collar is too tight or the material doesn%26#039;t agree with him. Anyhoo...a vet trip is a must!

Here%26#039;s a little story:

A friend of ours just rescued a bulldog from a family who was not treating her right and didnt want her anymore because she was not producing babies (GRRRR!!!). The handed her over to him with a leather spiked collar that was at least 2 inches wide and a tube of ointment. The told him that she gets raw spots on her upper neck and he should rub the ointment in to make it better...it%26#039;s been like this for years! So he takes the dog home and removes the collar and rubs on the ointment and plans for a vet trip for that week. Well what do you know...after keeping the oversize collar off of her for a few days...the darn sore was healing! Imagaine that?! Can you belive the previous owners didnt have enough common sense to realize this themselves? COMMON SENSE NEEDS TO BE MORE COMMON!!!!|||Go to the vet and find out for sure what it is. It could be many things that people can get too! Such as ringworm or scabies. Sometimes the breeders don%26#039;t keep the animals very clean at all! Believe me I work at a vet hospital and most breeders that bring the parents in are NASTY!! They let them sit in kennels all day in their own urine and feces and they can get urine burns. So, you never know??? Take a visit. It will be worth yous and his while...Get him feeling better quick!

How do cats clean their skin?

When cats clean themselves, aren%26#039;t they only reaching their fur, not the skin beneath? If humans didn%26#039;t clean their skin it would get mangy and gross. What%26#039;s the difference?|||yes that is true, that cats clean themselves by licking their fur. while humans do clean their skin.

cats fur is arrange that their skin will not get dirty or soaked wet, unlike humans, even if your covered with tons of hair, surely your skin will get dirty %26amp; dipped wet.

thats why we humans need to take a bath everyday, while cats just need a lick to clean %26amp; their favorite to lick is their...

What they can%26#039;t get you should get by giving your cat periodic baths. That sounds like a horrible prospect but it is not as bad as it sounds.

We put our cat in the tub and use a sprayer. We are careful not to spray him in the face and we use no more tears cat shampoo. We got him use to bathing by putting him in the kitchen sink and spraying his feet a few times so he would not be afraid of the spray. Now he trusts us not to hurt him. We use a low sudsing shampoo so rinsing does not take too long. After we take him out I wrap him in a towel and cuddle him close to me for about 20 nminutes. That shows him love, lets him know it is not a punishment and it helps get the water out of him. It is a nice experience for both of us.

Good luck to you and your cat.

How can you keep your skin from looking drab and shrink large pores?

How do i get my skin colour to become lighter?

I become a bit dark in some area and need to become lighter so i can look nice i got asian people skin|||I am Asian, and the first thing i would say is: EMBRACE YOUR EXOTIC LOOKS!! Most people i know would kill for a tan, and spend a ton of money on it!

I%26#039;ve got light skin, but due to my genetics, i suffer form oily skin which leads to dark patches and blemishes. My skin started to look really dull, but i discovered the Vitamin E range form the Body Shop! Its really rich and moisturising. I%26#039;ve only used for a week and have noticed an improvement in my skin.

So if you want to enhance your skin the safe way, i would stick to exfoliating twice a week to remove dead skin cells, and use a rich moisturiser to plump up the skin and give a radiant glow.|||don%26#039;t go outside alot. i%26#039;m usually very dark, but since i%26#039;ve worked the graveyard shift, i%26#039;m pretty pale compared to what i used to look like. but there isn%26#039;t really anything that you can just buy to make yourself lighter. : (

atleast not that i know of.|||Wear make up to patch the areas you need and eventually from the makeup blocking out the sun on those areas of your skin it will eventually become lighter kind of like if you wear lipstick often, your lips will eventually look pale.|||Unfortunately, there%26#039;s not really anything you can do.

There%26#039;s some sort of bleaching creams, but that%26#039;s not for big areas as far as I know. It%26#039;s for small areas like pimple scarring and stuff.

All you can do is sit inside or cover yourself up more.|||to stay indoors would be the simplest method, however you%26#039;re better to get some sun and to hell with aesthetics, everyone needs a bit on vitamin D. alternatively you could bleach your skin if you are really desperate for looks.|||There%26#039;s bleaching creams you can buy but they thin your skin and that little patch you wanted a little bit lighter, will age faster than the rest of your skin.

It is very bad for you so don%26#039;t do it.|||Hydrogen Peroxide with milk powder every other day will gently slough away dead skin cells and work gradually to even out skin tone.

Even buttermilk alone is great for smaller spots.|||use neutrogena visibly clear, daily use makes the skin look clear, really its a real treat ! , it cleans the pore and you skin is silky !!|||Use methathione soap...and avoid exposure to sunlight. Use sunblock at all times even when you%26#039;re just in your bedroom.|||ask michael jackson, wacko jacko

What is a good face lotion that also balances skin tone color for aging skin?

I am 45. My skin is starting to get age pigmentation. What is a good face lotion that takes away age coloring/pigmentation? Thanks.|||I moved to Europe last year and found some really good products, at the spa I go to but they are professional only. Other things you can try is glycolic acid lotion from the dermatologist. Nothing works better than professional or prescription products.

Another product is La Mer face cream which you can get at the department store.

Anyway, here is the site of the products I use.

How can i tighten the skin on my face?

I want to tighten the skin on my face in certain areas. What are ways i can achieve this. Thanks so much for the advice.|||You didn%26#039;t mention the areas. Some areas loose their shape due to thinning of skin and some due to loss of muscle tone. If you have A LOT of time to spend, such as on a long drive to work every day, you can rebuild muscle over many months.

The muscle under your chin can be tightened by trying to clear phlegm from your throat (not by coughing) by making a vacuum. You will feel this area raise up when you do it right. HOLD this for 10 or 15 minutes or more, every day. Once it starts to be strengthened, keep lifting it throughout the day.

Your cheek area can be built up by trying to raise your upper lip up and out (like a parody of a vain movie star). You will feel your cheekbones tighten up if you do it right. Check your mirror, do not allow this to become so extreme that your lip makes creases or the folds on the side of your mouth form.

Hard to do - and takes forever to see results. But it does work.|||um u can get some surgery done or go to a spa and get a rape|||Preparation H really works well.|||Just grow old gracefully and be proud of yourself at any life stage...
