How to care for reindeer skin?

Hi,

We recently got reindeer skin as a gift. We stay in a place which is very dry and hot. Most of the time it%26#039;s very dusty. Can anyone tell me how to prevent reindeer skin from getting damaged due to heat and dust? I do not want to cover it with a plastic sheet.

I also would like suggestions about how to mount it on a wall with minimum damage to the skin.

Thank you|||Never, never put furs in plastic only cotton bags. You can gently vacuum the skin to get out the dust or just take outside and shake like a normal rug. If your house is very hot in the summer I recommend you store the skin in a cool place wrapped in a cotton sheet with a few moth balls, the cedar smelling ones are the best. To mount on the wall you can use small nails carefully situated to hold it in place and try and use the same holes when remounting. For other suggestions I recommend you call a Fur Manufacturer or a Fur skin dealer..|||Send an email to Santa
