It is really borthering him he itches alot and it get all %26quot;cheese%26quot;. What can i do for him and how is this treatable?|||Without a proper diagnosis from your veterinarian you cannot properly treat the issue at hand.
The truth is... MANY factors can be causing the skin condition. You need to set up an appointment at your vet%26#039;s office to determine the cause of the irritation. Once you have a diagnosis your vet will prescribe appropriate medication(s) to treat the problem.|||Take the dog to the vet. Did you research this breed before you got one? They are prone to skin problems and such.|||English Bulldogs can get a few skin problems!!!
Consult your vet or breeder!!!|||CALL YOUR BREEDER- they can help you tremendously
and
GO SEE THE VET|||i would have him checked by the vet. it could be a number of things from allergies to Demodex Mange. the only way to know for sure is a skin scraping to see if there is any mites.
skin problems are common with the English Bull Dogs and there is no safe way to treat other than the vet.|||Maybe you can talk with your vet about creams to put on it to keep it from itching?|||Keep it clean, dry and apply some antibiotic ointment.|||Something like that sounds like a skin infection of some type. It may have been a simple irritant that left untreated has now gotten gross and infected. Take him to the vet to have it figured out and get the proper medications.
Bulldogs are very prone to skin issues, anything can set them off-- from not being washed throughly during a bath, to their collars irritating them, to the wrinkles not being kept clean and dry and developing a yeast infection on the skin, or even just allergies. If it%26#039;s looking %26quot;Cheesy%26quot; it%26#039;s not just a simple irritant and needs to be seen and cleared up by your dogs vet before it becomes worse or spreads to beyond his neck area.|||First of all, take him to the vet. Anything %26quot;cheese%26quot;-like coming out the skin of a dog is not normal. He might have allergies, worms, skin inffection...tons of possibilites. Or it could be as simple as his collar is too tight or the material doesn%26#039;t agree with him. Anyhoo...a vet trip is a must!
Here%26#039;s a little story:
A friend of ours just rescued a bulldog from a family who was not treating her right and didnt want her anymore because she was not producing babies (GRRRR!!!). The handed her over to him with a leather spiked collar that was at least 2 inches wide and a tube of ointment. The told him that she gets raw spots on her upper neck and he should rub the ointment in to make it better...it%26#039;s been like this for years! So he takes the dog home and removes the collar and rubs on the ointment and plans for a vet trip for that week. Well what do you know...after keeping the oversize collar off of her for a few days...the darn sore was healing! Imagaine that?! Can you belive the previous owners didnt have enough common sense to realize this themselves? COMMON SENSE NEEDS TO BE MORE COMMON!!!!|||Go to the vet and find out for sure what it is. It could be many things that people can get too! Such as ringworm or scabies. Sometimes the breeders don%26#039;t keep the animals very clean at all! Believe me I work at a vet hospital and most breeders that bring the parents in are NASTY!! They let them sit in kennels all day in their own urine and feces and they can get urine burns. So, you never know??? Take a visit. It will be worth yous and his while...Get him feeling better quick!
