How long does advantage dog flea control take to absorb into the skin?

I put it on my dog%26#039;s neck about 2 hours ago, and it is still wet. Can it harm her? She is a puppy|||How it works

Use Advantage monthly to kill fleas within minutes. The active ingredient is imidacloprid, which acts on the nervous system of the flea to cause paralysis and subsequent death. Advantage stops biting fleas in three to five minutes and starts to kill adult fleas within an hour after application.1 Within 12 hours of application, 98-100 percent of fleas are dead. This is important because flea bites can lead to skin infections, cause discomfort for your pet, lead to allergic skin reactions, and can even transmit other disease-causing organisms, including tapeworms.

You won%26#039;t need to use another flea control product. Advantage kills fleas before they lay eggs, so their life cycle is broken at multiple stages. It also kills flea larvae within 20 minutes of contact.1

IT DOES NOT GET INTO THE BLOOD STREAM....AND IT CAN BE BOUGHT OUTSIDE OF THE VETERINARIANS OFFICE.

Dont let her lick it. It will dry she will be fine.|||Since Advantage can only be purchased through a vet, your pup probably is fine. I used to give that kind of flea control to my Boxer and within a few minutes he was drooling and sluggish. I go the homeopathic route now.|||It takes 24 hours to spread throughout the entire skin and kill all the fleas. It should be dry before 24 hours. Hope you got it all on the skin, because if you just dropped it on the fur it won%26#039;t work.

If you put it on the back of the neck where she can%26#039;t lick it off, it%26#039;s won%26#039;t harm her. Frankly even if she did get it in her mouth it would be unlikely to do anything, it%26#039;s very safe stuff. Just wait for it to dry, don%26#039;t let any get accidentally wiped off!
